On April 1, 2022, we were a panelist at the third module “Blockchain in SMEs” of the Blockchain Expert Dialog, an interdisciplinary workshop and study series commissioned by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK).
Directed by Prof. Dr. Roman Beck, business information scientist and university professor as well as head of the European Blockchain Center at @IT University Copenhagen, Jochen Kaßberger discussed with other blockchain experts the possible applications of blockchain in medium-sized businesses.
This involved the following three points:
1. token-based SME financing
2. DAOs and Cooperatives as Organizational Structures for SMEs
3. role of blockchain innovation clusters for SMEs.
To sum up, blockchain technology can develop relevance for SMEs as well.
